Alright, finally got myself to start blogging, will lump a few outings together in the post from 17th - 23rd Dec, China trip ones will take a while more, there's just too much photos! Probably in a couple of days more!
HFH Rough Peanuts Outing (17th Dec)
Went to eat at manhattan fish market and then walked over to minds cafe to play board games, seriously and crazily fun, cranium rocks man! There was also a lot of fun poking fun and teasing our group couple and of course, i was innocently tortured by the two birthday boys lar. But its a nice outing all and all, missed all of them, the post event syndrome i guess! See you guys soon man!
SGH and BCG Outing! (18th Dec)
Went to SGH to help Yixiang out with some volunteering project, Xinjia came along too! Help to facilitate people coming to draw on windmills, like design your own windmill thing, to encourage the patients in SGH to get well soon. Quite interesting, and just by seeing all the kids and talking to them is just so enjoyable! Like Weslie said, kids are just beautiful.
After that went to meet CY and Gloree for our outing! went to tanjong pagar to eat some nice stuff and the peanut ice kachang! had a lot to catch up on one another's life and our overseas trips. After that went to marina square to window shop a bit, we just cannot shop together, shop entire afternoon never buy anything. Hope to see my dear buddies soon again =D
OCIP Thailand Outing! (19th Dec)
Alright, i must say i never seen them for a damn long time already, but they all look well! hahas, having fun and someone's house is always much more comfortable and enjoyable, plus his crazily stupid wii games and board games like cranium and articulate. Cannot forget the stupid things David said man, like czechoslovakia and what is the capital of russia and some more lar! Aaron got so pissed with dave can! had dinner at Adam Road then played one more round! Glad to see them all!
Volunteering at IMH (20th Dec)
Almost half of rough peanuts went for this session at IMH. There was this church that was organising a christmas party for the folks there and we were there to like facilitate. The beginning was good, the female host who was leading the games was damn zhai! then we went up to the folks and tried to sing and dance with them, too bad the uncle i found was tired and sat down after a few tries. Got to meet a lot of other people also, like apple and her kid, and another group of volunteers from TJC. There is still a barrier when you come into contact with the patients there, but as you get used to it, it wouldn't be an obstacle, and they aren't as scary as the public says. They actually had the patience to last through the totally awful carolling when we just fled away. Hope to go for the garden digging soon!
78's Hike (21st Dec)
Met up with some of the more enthu people in 78 to go for a dreadful physical event. so warm can, almost died, if only it was some guangzhou weather, i totally wouldn't mind! Supposed to walk from macritchie to bukit timah, but we missed a turn and ended up at rifle range road so we walked all the way to kap. didn't think we will reach bukit timah hill anyway. But had a lot of fun and have to thank cy for planning this thing, and his mini fan. Looking forward to the more comfortable stayover at ying's place!
Volunteering at KK Hospital (22nd Dec)
This was an invite from Weslie, so me Zixin and Jerry turned up. we spent sometime practising balloon sculpting in the volunteer room, its really quite fun i must admit, but of course, our shifu weslie still has so many designs up his sleeves lar. Poor jerry was probably tortured by all the balloon sculpting sounds, so scared for what! hahas, but i really had fun visiting the wards and making the flowers, dogs, rabbits, swords, and Weslie even came up with goldfish and whale and bear! hahas, there was this one boy on our last ward that was very fun to play with, if only we had stayed a bit longer, but it was getting late anyway. Definitely going back for this soon!
4J Outing (23rd Dec)
Okay, the plan was initially cycling at Ubin, but seems like all pangseh in the end. End up we only had dinner, and only six of us, kiat tat, mingjie, liqian, me, ning fei and john. went to eat at ps the hongkong cafe thing, simple dinner, then we went walking around. went to cathay for some ice cream and watched the day the earth stood still. Ok lar the movie, not as bad as some of my friends said, at least i feel personally lar. maybe course i haven't been watching a lot. Nice simple outing lar, never mind the poor turn up, thanks to ningfei for organising! =)
