Hey everyone, i am back from Guangzhou China! Been a very fufiling and satisfying 11 days with my team Rough Peanuts! This trip has been organised by Habitat for Humanity Singapore as a Youth Expedition Project. Went to Caowu village near Shaoguan to help some of the villagers there build their new homes. The spirit of volunteerism in me just grew bigger and i really hope i will afford the luxury of time in the future to go for more build trips like this! will post about the trip with pictures soon! Meanwhile, a music video by Ado, name is called, XinJia, meaning new home. Its a song he wrote for Habitat for Humanity Singapore and a really moving and relevant song to what is needed out there in the world today, not just a shelter or a roof over their heads, but a new home. It also adds weight to what i said about being equipped with skills to help the less fortunate, music is just another skill and he couldn't have used it more appropriately. =D
