alright, before i start to procrastinate my post again, here is it.
First on the list for september! MAF! hahas, kind of miss everything and everyone from school! had a dinner before maf at oishi pizza at serene centre, the food was great, a pity the place was quite small, we like filled up the entire place. not a bad attendance, and ze even came in and pour cold water on me! (translate to chinese) yeah, nice chatting with everyone, catching up, especially like fukan whom we rarely get to see. went back school later and the whole place was so crowded, didn't get to see the 07 and 08 S78ers, dunnoe where they disappear to le! or were they upholding the 78 muggers spirit and mugging at home for promos and As respectively? saw 04 and 06 there though, seniors and juniors, just fine =) didn't get to see the 03 shens around thought =/ a lot of people came back, didn't really get to take a lot of pictures for two reasons, my cam was a bit screwed up, my shirt had trememdous sweatmarks and its damn ugly, only took some pics after i bought a pe tshirt to change. and when i regretted not taking pics, i was like never mind, next year can come back take more, then i thought, for the next 5 years, i wun be back for maf le. 5 years later, i wouldn't see anyone i know there le =/ what a sad thought =( too bad it rained in the middle, couldn't get to do all the dance and song in central plaza, but the decos were top class man. manage to find mrs cheng! mrs koh left just when we reached!=( there's like a lot of changes in school lor, the toilets! and fans in the wings, omg, can u believe it FANS! if only they had FANS in my year, got to understand our misfortunate plight of extreme sweating! everything was fun and yeah, i might seriously comtemplate flying back just for maf =)
Next! Section outing without dan the man. kind of a farewell for shueli who's leaving to uk like soon! had dinner at new york new york. lucky the place was noisy already, can u imagine what shueli+margaret+siobhan can sound like, worse than an aircraft taking off can! food was good and a lot of medicine talk too, cos like alf jiawei and marg are like in nus med. a lot of talk bout uni life too, kind of a heads up for me as to what to expect. ohs, the notebook for shueli was super good, applause for marg, and the charlie angel's shirt for siobhan. me dan and alf got like a toothbrush holder with a hour glass for us. supposedly when we are like houseman or something we can time brushing our teeth, 3 minutes is all we got! so little time! thoughful juniors! =) guess section outing is what of the events i will miss a lot when i am overseas =/
How can we forget the next impt event of the month! TP, PASSED! 18 points, freaking lucky =/
Operation Homeworks never fail to be fufiling, me and nic went for this house cleaning event together, pity cy couldn't join. Lucky to get this mdm ng who was very cooperative and nice to talk to! As expected, there was the mountains of collected stuff that she didn't bear to throw. A lot of her food were expired le lor! removed all of it, and she still have so much more! Oh, our team had me nic, yinghui a girl from 07S76 HC, joyce and ada(is it correct?) from acsi doing the IB programme. See, more and more smart people around, j1s not mugging for promos and instead coming down to do volunteer work, respect man! her house was rated 8 out of 10 for the amount of cleaning needed, after all the work, i think we brought it down to like 4/5 out of 10. couldn't do much in that short time. wanted to do more! But the best part was always the part when we get to talk to her, (while joyce continues to paint her metal grille), she told us she has been independent all her life, means no marriage no kids, she used to have a rich father when she was young and wasn't really allowed to see the world, never much stepped out of her house. But then as she grew up, she learnt more and more stuff, like sewing and tailoring which was how she earned her keep until her eyesight started to fail her. she has primary school handbook of chinese idioms and an exercise book where she practises how to use these idioms! she also has tremendous flair for handicraft, you've got to look at her display cabinet man, powerful stuff! She really embodies the spirit of 'huo dao lao, xue dao lao!' maybe shall visit her again soon, didn't get to take a picture. As Nic said, admiration.
All the leave and clearance got to come to a stop for a while as there's exercise for the next few weeks. just gonna chiong through it and freedom is so close. As of now, 50 days more! ORD LOH!
