Alright, long overdue post. Here's what i still recall about the past month or so!

Quite a eventful month i must say, plus the extra ORD feeling nourishing every now and then. Hope my superiors will understand my uncontrollable slow slip of performance as i get closer to the magical date. Trying to maintain it, but i guess its inevitable. Long way back in August, we had a small outing with the junior girls, just a small get together before Jessalynn leaves for US for studies! We went to Shokudo, the food is fantastic, but beware, some of them looks incredibly nice but not as tasty as it should be. But still worth it. Good to see all the usual people, and all the leaving singapore people, and plus zhang wei whom i saw on newspapers few days ago and lysia who didn't come in time to eat green peas with me. After that spent time deciding where to go to, something that always happens it seems. then we went for minds cafe to play some board games and just chill out. not very eventful and good with the games, but it was nice talking and being with everyone, company's fantastic =) Hope my angel's doing fine in america and not get too democratized over there!

Oh, and there was the NYCB concert, i thought it was appassionatta! but oh wells, it was great the same. Missed one Appassionatta and i hope i won't be missing more. Been supporting nycb since like appassionatta 5 all the way till 10!Missed 11, darn. hope 12 will be coming soon! band was good, met my super long never see still super good buddy Paulin. really need to catch up with her, the only trumpeteers from our batch around in esplanade that day i guess. Limelight was good, good repertoire and definitely the best showmanship. or should i say showwomanship. CHS should really be zi bei when they see tat performance. wake up your idea man guys! and the whole idea of being in esplanade and being back with music and band and everything so dear to me was just so comforting. really hope will get another chance to play on stage again man, even if its an insignificant part. still remember what melvin er told us, life without music is a terrible mistake. no doubts about it!

then there was all the ndp exercise ndp ops and stuff lar, being at the stupid island for like 3 times in a week. i actually sleep at the island that's like a desert with no more than grass and sand more than i sleep in the bunk that week! hate the life man, but everytime i finish a task i just close my eyes, and think...ORD LOH! and i get recharged. =)

There was unit celebration for best unit at sentosa. wasn't very enthu that day, just wanted to go there and relax, no sweat. So yeah, didn't play anything, just chatted with the signallers and had lunch and zoom, fly off. quite a deal of fun with the phototaking and gabriel singlehandedly carrying bc into the sea. damn strong lor. bc was sporting enough lar, not like sgt phay flew away after the picture. and omg, issac got high achiever award. i will just tear mine away man.

got discounts for singapore flyer, so went with cy and gloree, impromptu bcg outing. glad they were free man, i knew cy would wanted to go, and gloree would go if only it was cheap. so yeah, fits the criteria. quite nice to catch up and cy was like giving all his tourist guidish talk about this part of singapore and there and the f1 pit and the marina barrage and this and that. Singapore Tourism Board should really headhunt him man. kind of relaxing trip. a break for all of us. helped some family take a picture that day and i thought it was very nice, like seriously the nicest pic i have taken personally. the woman even praised me. hahas, i guess it was the family that made it so warm and nice. went to eat at cafe cartel. gloree was like eyeing the bread the minute she went in. and the whole meal ended up with me and cy struggling with our food rather than gloree. talked a lot and discovered a lot, especially for gloree ah, but yeah, the discussions are kept within us, like how a BCG immunisation works, it stays in you =) more outings!

And another significant thing that happened was being offered for Monash i guess. I was so happy, jumped from my computer and almost teared. finally, i have the chance to prove myself and all the decisions i have made. A little concerned before accepting the offer because i was afraid it was lesser than an UK education. But i guess with hard work and hoping Singapore stays as meritocratic as it say it is, it shouldn't be a matter. I will get to where i want to be with sheer hard work! just like how the soviet union won the war with sheer numbers.

and last but not least, wisdom teeth extraction, still can't really talk and eat properly now. 8 days mc, totally worth it. and plus the experience of general anasthesia. woos, damn good. i can still remember the last moments before i knocked out. i was struggling very hard to keep awake, and everytime i open my eyes after each blink, the lamp above me just got more hazy and blur, until i couldn't open them anymore. when the day we leave this world comes, would it be the same? would we just fade away like that? and supposedly, the nurses told me i was struggling halfway during surgery, needed 6 people to hold me down, maybe i was dreaming or something? got a small cut on my lip for that man. interesting stuff. but all was well after a few days. soon, i'm going to eat properly again, instead of all the porridgey and soupey stuff!

In the nick of time for the end of august, and let's add a new resolution, no more gambling =) i mean it this time.
