Hmmm, my blog is quite dead actually, so i shall revive it, by not finishing analogue, chem and planning. Later, i will do it, i promise.
Was feeling quite down just now after being nagged by mum, about not being hardworking enough and stuff. She relates everything to the future, and money and job and everything. Well, i guessed i was quite pissed, i took out my certs and laid them on the table and told her i never disappointed her and left the house. Will this time be the same? Or will i disappoint her. Only time has the answer.
But aniwae that's not the main point, i want to talk about maintenance. I suddenly thought about nicole, whose leaving singapore to study in aussie soon, and then i thought of adam, who is in aussie studying now. I was extremely sad when he left, he is a very good friend to have, and i enjoyed his company in band. But over the pass two years, i haven't being maintaining this friendship, well, cause i am preoccupied with other things doesn't mean i should be like that. Friendships last because both parties make and effort to maintain it. Even in relationships. If one is unwilling to plae his part and maintain the friendship, it will eventually come to a standstill and then fade off. hmm, but then again, there are friendships, such as boon yew and kelvin. We barely meet, maybe twice in the past two years. No letters, no msges, no anything. But when we meet, everything just sparks off. Kelvin and me, we suddenly had the chance to meet at his house years ago, we didn;t even need to warm up, we started plaeing pokemon cards, playing xbox and everything, just like we did when we were children. this is one good example of my favourite quote "the biggest discovery about friendship is that they can grow separetely without growing apart".
I also should really start to maintain friendships, as in maybe more extensively. There are many friendships that i feel are worth maintaining in JC, if not forever. that gives me one more reason for not regretting coming to hwa chong, the warmness. Not everyone here is a cold hearted unfeeling rock who mugs k. Behind our mugging nature, we are very warm and outgoing individuals.
Maintaining a friendship can be through very small and simple things. Like todae, i saw glori writing a note for chuan yuan. Messaging a friend when he or she is sick? wish someone happy birthdae? many more little small small things one can do.Yuppies, so that's a little short entry about some thoughts i have. Maintainence. And as usual i want to quote!
