Yeah, just had my tuition session with my teacher, talked about all the gp stuff, from religion to abortion and then to euthanasia, come to think of it, they can all be linked together u know. My study buddy gloree saes blogging helps gp, i hope this helps=p. And guess what! I finished GP, that's like the greatest achievement in my life lar. Come to think of it, gp is an essential subject, its sort of a spiritual nourishment, not for the grades, but just by knowing about all these issues, u get to reflect about it, think of your own personal opinion, and u can even tell what kind of person u r like. Its true!

For example, under the intensive exposure and influence by the science subjects, i tend to look at euthanasia from a very medical way. Euthanasia is not a form of ending life, its about prolonging life. If u believe in reincarnation, which i do, by ending someone's life, u allow one to complete the cycle of life, u allow him to be borned in another form, and to learn another lesson of life. That's if you look at it in a religious way. And euthanasia does not necessarily mean pulling the plug of the life support machine, it can be administered in various forms, even for a brother to suffocate a dieing sister, or perhaps aborting a deformed child.

The justification of euthanasia is too extensive, there are too many 'what if' situations. What if there is a miracle? What if there is a 'lost cure' like sending the person to a monastery in Tibet? What if there is a cure somewhere in the Amazon Rainforests? There are too many question marks. But what is the probability of these what ifs, very low. Too low to be a concrete argument, but it happens, there is still a chance, even if its like one in a million, there is still a chance for this brain dead person to become walking alive again.

Euthanasia is also not the only form of 'playing God'. By merely taking antibiotics, you are playing god. Why? Antibiotics is man-made, the life support machine is man-made. By science and technology, we aim to prolong life, defy nature. This is a form of 'playing god'. However, if a patient has been given all forms of possible treatment, and nothing happens? what would you do? There are the human aspects to consider, the reality. Is there enough financial support? Is the patient suffering in pain? Is death what the patient wants? Even if the patient has indicated that if he/she falls into a coma for more than two years, euthanize him, would you do so if the doctor saes he/she will regain conscious in the third year?

Just some food for thought, i will just go on and on, must stop, photosynthesis notes staring at me already.
