I type this entry as i listen to the song shi jie sent me, Mark Isham's October Sky.Indeed, its nice and has triggered millions of thoughts in me.It reminded me of Windstruck, that little nice show i watched with nerdette, i was thinking of lotsa of things then too. Of life, of death, of memories, of all that was wonderful on this world, of the adventures i will experience in the future. It makes me feel as if i were home, as if i was lying on a wide, edgeless green pasture. No cows, no sheeps, just me alone, the grass, the sky, the sun, the air, the wind.I have never had such a feeling before, its so wonderful, so magical, so at ease. But yet as happy i can be, i feel sadness, misery, hardships, but also a voice that keeps me moving forward, that tells me every tear i drop, every sweat i perspire, everything will be worthwhile. Its almost as if one of the lord of the rings tune where Frodo finished his quest and lay on an Elven Bed, thinking of the goodness of the world. But yet, it comes to me as something more magical, more meaningful.Like those of a fallen warrior, who picks up his sword and feels the weight of his courage, stands up and fight again, like a victorious soldier, who looks at the flag of his homeland re-established on land that once the enemy had conquered. It is so sweet sounding, so harmonious, so melodious.Like a farmer's good year, like a battle won, like another great step taken. yet, there is fatigue, weariness in it, that tells me its time to end it, time to take a break, like those of a retiree.I know i am going to fall in love with this song for quite some time, a song ever so touching,so soothing, so calm.Encouraging, forward looking, but wait, take a step back, take your memories with you, that's what i hear it say.Like the "live happily ever after" ending, like the actors and actresses standing out to take a bow after a great musical.Like comrades in arms toasting to a wonderful war fought, like brothers braving through a storm.Like countries no longer divided, like no more discrimination. there is peace and harmony, there will be peace and harmony, somedae. As long as we are willing, there is hope, as long as there is hope, we will never stop fighting for it.As long as I can, I will never stop trying...
